Graduate Humanities Circle
The Graduate Humanities Circle (GHC) is an interdisciplinary community space for graduate students across the humanities, including (but not limited to) English, History, Theatre, Dance and Performance Studies, and SMFA in the greater Boston area. The Circle hosts bi-monthly member meetings at the Center for the Humanities to build communities, share research and pedagogy, and offer mutual support. If you are interested in joining the group, please reach out to me at manjari.tufts@gmail.com
Our Priorities
01
Surviving and thriving in the neoliberal academy as a minoritarian grad student teaching and researching in the under-supported fields of humanities, including critical ethnic studies, feminist, queer, and trans studies, decolonial and postcolonial studies.
02
Inviting faculty both at Tufts and in other universities, especially faculty of color, in the above fields to share their personal, pedagogical, professional, and organizing knowledge, and build cross-institutional alliances.
03
Fostering community, thought partnership, friendship, a safe space conversation, and a place to be.
